Linda L. Porter, 67, of Switz City, passed away Thursday, April 22, at11:35 a.m. at her residence.
Born July 22, 1936 in Greene County, she was the daughter of Linley and Mary Lou (Charleston) Leavitt. She was married to Louie G. Porter.
She was a homemaker, worked for General Electric in Bloomington, was a bus driver for Switz City schools, and worked for Bloomfield Silo. She was a member of the Bloomfield First Presbyterian Church and the Women's Association with the Bloomfield First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her husband, Louie G. Porter of Switz City; two sons, Larry G. Porter of Worthington and Lee G. Porter of Switz City; one granddaughter; Melissa Tuttle of Shoals; and two great-grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Bob Leavitt; and one sister.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 25, at Bloomfield First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Peggy Casteel officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Chapel, Bloomfield.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Saturday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield and one hour prior to service at the Bloomfield First Presbyterian Church on Sunday.
