Orville A. Hendrickson, 78, of Switz City passed away Monday, April 19, 2004 at 3 p.m. at his residence.
Born Feb. 28, 1926 in Owatonna, Minn., he was the son of Leif and Julia (Crump) Hendrickson.
He was a self-employed commercial artist, and a member of the U.S. Navy serving in World War II.
Survivors included his wife, Violet T. (Lathrop) Hendrickson; four daughters, Elizabeth Vargas and her husband Mario of Necedah, Wis., Janet Hausenbauer and her husband Doug of West Chicago, Ill., Linda Velazquez and her husband Antonio of Addison Ill., and Karen Nuccio and her husband Sal of Antioch, Ill.; two sons, Richard Hendrickson and Robert Hendrickson; 14 grandchildren, Mario Vargas Jr., Paul Vargas, Anthony Vargas, Kristin Kotek, Thomas Kotek Jr., David Kotek, Antonio Velazquez Jr., Katrina Velazquez, Melissa Velazquez, Cassandra Velazquez, Sean Mason, Katie Mason, Brianna Nuccio, and Samantha Nuccio; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Mitchell Hendrickson, and his parents.
Memorial service was Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Word of Life Fellowship Full Gospel Church with the Rev. Eugene Helms officiating. Jenkins & Sons of Bloomfield was in charge of arrangements
