ENGLEWOOD, Fla. ---- Carl Burton Waldrip, 70, of Englewood, Fla., and formerly of Bloomington, passed away April 23, 2004 at 11 a.m. in Englewood.
Born April 24, 1933, he was the son of Noble and Glodine (Eads) Waldrip. He married Irene (Miller) Waldrip on June 29, 1964.
He had been employed at General Motors in Indianapolis for 30 years and was a member of the Royal Order of Moose Lodge in Bloomington.
Surviving along with his wife, Irene Waldrip of Englewood, Fla., are two sons, Terry D. Waldrip of Bloomington and Steven D. Waldrip of Koleen; three step-daughters, Rose Owen and her husband David of Tucson, Ariz., Constance Wright and her husband Chestley of Bloomington, and Brenda Dick and her husband Steve of Englewood, Fla.; two sisters, Janet Ping and Evelyn Rogers, both of Bloomington; two brothers, Earl Waldrip and Barnard Waldrip, both of Bloomington; one sister-in-law, Lorene Franks of Linton; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton with the Rev. David Tyra officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 9-11 a.m. on Wednesday.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Hospice of Southwest Florida. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
