LEBANON ---- Marian E. Chanley Snyder, 78, of Lebanon and formerly of Sandborn, passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2004, at 11:35 p.m. at Homewood Health Campus in Lebanon.
Born July 12, 1925, in Richmond, Va., she was the daughter of Thomas and Maime Marian (Adams) Stone.
She worked as a clerk for 20 years in the Dairy Pharm at Jamestown. She was a member of the Jamestown Christian Church where she taught Sunday School and a member of the Lebanon Christian Church after moving to Lebanon. She also enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include her husband, Dale Snyder of Lebanon, whom she married on June 25, 1994; one son, David Chanley and his wife Cindy of Jeffersonville; one daughter, Dixie Zimmerman and her husband Bill, of Lebanon; one step-son, Robert Snyder of Tucson, Ariz.; one step-daughter, Jane Snyder of Phoenix, Ariz.; two sisters, Jacqueline "Jackie" Martin of Mechanicsville, Va., and Patricia "Pat" Groome of Mineral, Va.; five grandchildren, Michael Zimmerman and his wife Sheila of Thorntown, Ind., Jeffrey Zimmerman and his wife Barbie of Brownsburg, Ryan Chanley of Jeffersonville, Brian Abt and wife Gena of Louisville, Ky., and Shelby Chanley of Jeffersonville and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Edgar "Ed" Chanley, who passed away Oct. 30, 1989; two grandchildren, Amy Zimmerman and Stephen Zimmerman; one brother, Thomas H. Stone Jr.; and her parents.
Funeral services will be at the Lebanon Christian Church, 610 West 250 North, Lebanon, on Saturday at 10:30 a.m., with Rev. Harry Pitts and Rev. John Nolan officiating Burial will follow at the Old Union Cemetery in Boone County.
Friends may call from 4 - 8 p.m. on Friday at the Myers Chapel of Memories Funeral Home at 1502 North Lebanon St., Lebanon.
