MUNCIE ---- Charles J. Weaver, 82, formerly of Linton, passed away Thursday, March 18, 2004 at his residence.

Born March 15, 1922 in Midland, he was the son of Charles and Nevada Weaver.

He worked for Craig Trucking in Albany and later retired from B & I Motor Freight after 32 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of Summerville Church of Christ in Linton.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Jessie Weaver; one daughter, Gloria Good and her husband Robert of Muncie; one sister, Rosemary Davis and her husband Don of Bloomington; two grandchildren, Scott Hollowell and his wife Tina, and Marc Hollowell and his wife Ena; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be Monday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Mark Reynolds officiating at Parson-Rust Funeral Home in Albany. Military rites will be provided by Delaware County Veterans Honor Guard immediately following the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Chambersville Cemetery in Spencer, where a committal service will commence at 2:30 p.m.

Friends may call Sunday from 6-8 p.m., and one hour prior to service Monday at the funeral home.
