BICKNELL ---- Lester A. Carrico, 86, of Bicknell, passed away Saturday, March 27, 2004 at 12:40 p.m. at his residence.

Born Dec. 29, 1917 in Sandborn, he was the son of Ira Lester and Emma Frances (Riggle) Carrico.

He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service in Indianapolis after 13 years; he served in the U.S. Army and was awarded with two Job Well Done accommodations. He was a member of the Christian Church in Sandborn and a lifetime member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees at Bloomfield.

Survivors include his wife, Eva Lucille (Burress), whom he married on May 20, 1945; one son, Lester B. Carrico of Mooresville; one daughter, Kristina Sheridan of Indianapolis; two granddaughters, Dawn Foster and Tracy Crawley; one brother, Larry Lee Riggle of Bloomfield; and two great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by an infant granddaughter, and his parents.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Anderson-Poindexter Sandborn Chapel with Brother David Cullen and Brother Larry Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Edwardsport 100F Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today and from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday.
