William A. "Bill" Denny, 80, of Lyons, died at 1:03 p.m. Monday, Feb. 2, at the Covered Bridge Health Campus in Seymour.
Born June 20, 1923, in Seymour, he was the son of Jacob Frank and Straussie Fleetwood Denny.
He owned and operated a service in station in Lyons for 29 years. He was a school bus driver for L&M and White River Valley schools for 40 years, and was a farmer.
Survivors include two sons, Andy and his wife Carol Denny of Seymour and Mark and his wife Debbie Denny of Indianapolis; four grandchildren, Drew Denny of Columbus, Tricia Denny of Indianapolis, Amy and Bryan Denny, both of Avon; two step-grandchildren, Jordan and Jessica Evinger, both of Indianapolis, and a sister, June Spurgeon of Brownstown.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice S. (Story) Denny, who died May 7, 2001; one brother, James T. Denny, and his parents.
Service were be at noon today at Jenkins Funeral Home in Lyons with the Rev. James Story officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Lyons.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. until the hour of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
