Helen V. Hunley, 86, of Dugger, died at 4:55 p.m. Feb. 1, 2004, in Greene County General Hospital.
Born Sept. 6, 1917 in Linton, she was the daughter of Thomas J. and Minnie (Dover) Small.
She was a member of the Saron United Church of Christ in Linton and Order of Eastern Star Chapter 482 in Dugger. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband of 70 years, William M. Hunley; a daughter, Patricia Gayle Poindexter of Bluffton, and her husband, B.K.; two sons, William M. Hunley Jr. and Paula Jean Reed of Tombstone, Ariz., and Robert E. Hunley and his wife Susan of Dugger; nine grandchildren, Devon and husband Donald Willey of Celina, Ohio, Clay and wife JoAnne Poindexter of Bluffton, Blake Poindexter of Bluffton, Gay and husband Barry Wallace of Phoenix, Ariz., William III and wife Amy Hunley of Tombstone, Ariz., Nancy Hunley of Tombstone, Jennifer and husband Jeff Hawkins of Sullivan, Robert Hunley II and wife Kimi of Sullivan, and Tom Hunley of Indianapolis; and nine great-grandchildren, Carson Willey, Tate Willey, Michael Wood, Nick Willits, Chet Willits, Becky Kiensman, Felicia Nunez, Erin Hawkins, and Ashlyn Hunley.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Emma Jean Plew.
Service will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton with the Rev. Mike Roth officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service Thursday.
