William Paul "Bill" Hunter, 78, of Worthington, passed away Friday, Feb. 20, 2004, at 6:20 p.m. at Lyons Health and Living Center in Lyons.
Born Oct. 3, 1925, in Worthington, he was the son of Paul and Ruby (Wimmer) Hunter.
He was a retired rural mail carrier and a member of the First Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Nellie (Hubbard) Hunter of Worthington; one daughter, Carolyn Schauwecker of Clay City; one son, Rick Hunter of Martinsville; one brother, Robert Hunter of Wanamaker; one sister, Martha Johnson of Terre Haute; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his first wife, Wilma Ruth (Davis) Hunter.
Funeral service will be at Welch and Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington at 11 a.m. on Tuesday with the Rev. Wes Hensley officiating.
Burial will follow at Worthington Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today, and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday.
Memorials may be given to "Prevent Child Abuse" charity at the funeral home.
