Stewart G. "Bud" Wynn, 71, of Jasonville, passed away Saturday, Feb. 21, 2004 at 4:31 p.m. at his residence in Jasonville.
He was born in Tazewell, Va., on Oct. 10, 1932, to John and Sally (Gillispie) Wynn.
He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. He was the retired superintendent for Peabody Coal Co., Latta, Dugger, and Hawthorn Mines, a member of the Lawton St. Christian Church, American Legion Frank Courtney Post 22, Masonic Lodge 251 at Lebanon, Va., Scottish Rite Valley of Terre Haute, Zorah Shrine of Terre Haute, Greene County Shrine Club and BPO Elks 866.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret (Glover) Wynn; one son, David Bud Wynn and wife Linda of Farmersburg; and one grandson, John Stewart Wynn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Margaret Fisher.
A Masonic memorial service will be today at 7 p.m. at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday with Mark Messmer officiating.
Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. today, and 9 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday.
Place of burial will be announced at a later date.
Donations are to be made to the Lawton St. Christian Church at Jasonville.
