BLOOMFIELD ---- Doris B. Bucher, 87, of Bloomfield, died at 3:15 p.m. Jan. 10, 2004, at Lyons Health and Living Center.
Born Feb. 12, 1916, in Greene County, she was the daughter of Orville and Khiva Ockerman Hasler.
She was a school teacher for many area schools in Greene County. She was a member of the Walnut Grove Church of God, and she attended the Antioch Christian Church and Antioch Ladies Aid.
Survivors include her husband, Curtis C. Bucher; a son, Joe D. Bucher and his wife, Ruthie, of Bloomfield; a daughter, Karen Bucher of Bloomfield; two brothers, Don Hasler and Ted Hasler, both of Bloomfield; two granddaughters, Jennifer Bucher of Louisville, Ky., and Pennie Lundford of Georgetown, Ky.; and two great-granddaughters, Hannah and Ashleigh.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Dean Hasler; a sister, Betty Heaton, and one infant brother.
Service will be 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Jenkins and Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield with the Rev. Arlen Pope and the Rev. Billy Ed Hostettler officiating. Burial will be at Antioch Cemetery in rural Bloomfield.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
