Edward J. Fox, 75, of Linton, passed away on Friday, Jan. 9, 2004, at 7:30 p.m. in Greene County General Hospital.
Born Aug. 11, 1928, in Mount Nebo, Ohio, he was the son of Edward and Golda Arbogast Fox.
He was a veteran of the Korean War, having served with the U.S. Army. He received the Combat Infantry Badge. He was a truck driver for A&P Food Stores for 40 years and for Kibler Trucking Company until his retirement in 1986. He was a member of the Linton American Legion Post 22 and the Jasonville VFW Post 6225.
Survivors include his wife, Rosemary (Cook) Fox, whom he married on July 2, 1955 in Lawrenceburg, Ind.; three daughters, Jeanne Fox of Greenwood, Ind., Elizabeth Potenza of Indianapolis, and Elaine Heins of Chandler, Ariz.; six grandchildren, Edward, Jennifer, Kendra, Philip, Jarreth and Rhianna; three great-grandchildren, Christopher, Jacob and Trevin, and one niece, Linda Bentley of Des Moines, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Ida Cannon.
Funeral service will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel with the Rev. Lamont Bonath officiating. Military graveside services will be conducted by Linton American Legion Post 22. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
Visitation will be today from 5-8 p.m., and Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the hour of service.
