Ronald J. Andis, 62 of Bloomfield, passed away at 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 14, 2004 in Bloomington Hospital.
He was born Feb. 10, 1941 in Terre Haute to Loyal and Katherine Farley Andis.
He retired from NWSC Crane as manager of Naval Sea's Systems Command. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Bloomfield. He also held membership in the Indiana Postal History Society, Mechine Chances Society of which he was a member of the board of directors and the American Philatelic Society.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa Andis of Bloomfield; two sons, Gregory Andis of Berea, Ky., and Dodge Andis of Indianapolis; one step-son, Jeff Stibers of Vine Grove, Ky.; two step-daughters, Laura Kelley and Tonya Stibers both of Bloomfield; one brother, John Andis of Carmel; nine grandchildren, Clent Stibers, Dustin Stibers, R.J. Hughes, Tyler Stibers, Drew Andis, Noland Andis, Daly Andis, Neal Andis and Niah Joy Andis.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Peggy Andis on March 3, 1985, and his parents.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2004 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with the Revs. Arlen Pope and Danny Caulkins officiating. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery in Midland.
Visitation is today from 4-8 p.m. and from noon until hour of services on Saturday at the funeral home.
