Myra L. Taylor, 74, of Linton, died at 6:08 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2004, at Greene County General Hospital.
Born Dec. 25, 1929 in Linton, she was the daughter of Fred and Edna (Krischak) Silvey.
She formerly worked at Glenburn Home in food service. She enjoyed homemaking, gardening and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, both of Linton.
Survivors include two sons, Gary Wayne Orman of Carbon and Edward Joe Orman of Bloomfield; a daughter, Donna Ann Fields of Bloomfield; a sister, JoAnn Kline of Corydon; seven grandchildren, Brittney Reyber, Sagan Orman, Kerrie Barnett, Dustin and Josh Fields, Amber and Makalah Orman; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Taylor; a brother, Fred Silvey; and her parents.
Services will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Welch and Cornett Funeral Home Linton Chapel, with pastor William Clark officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. on Friday, and after 11 a.m. on Saturday until the time of service.
