Marie E. Fulford, 92, of Cass, passed away at 3:42 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 23, 2004, at Miller's Merry Manor in Sullivan.
She was born in Greene County on Aug. 12, 1911, the daughter of William Gaylon Burris and Sylvia Jane Gaskell.
She was a member of the Cass United Methodist Church, and the Eastern Star and Rebekahs, both of Hymera.
She is survived by one son, Lyle L. and Tiny Kay Fulford of Cass; one daughter-in-law, Thelma Fulford of Plant City, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Linda and J.R. Mahurin of Terre Haute, Ronald L. and Kay Fulford of Florida, Richard Allen and Carrie Fulford of Greencastle, Michael Fulford, Patrick Fulford, Jeffrey and Kim Fulford of Dugger, Jason Fulford and Theresa of Linton; 13 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Francis Fulford; one son, Lindell Lee Fulford and two brothers, James Burris and the Rev. Paul Burris.
Funeral service will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Newkirk's Funeral Home in Dugger with the Rev. Paul Meyers officiating. Burial will be in Claiborne Cemetery. The Eastern Star will have a service at 7 p.m. on Tuesday. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, and before the service Wednesday.
