WORTHINGTON ---- Kenneth L. Harris, 83, of Worthington, died at 8:55 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2004, at Greene County General Hospital in Linton.
Born June 19, 1920, in Greene County, he was the son of Lee and Blanche (Sesney) Harris. He owned and operated Harris's Tractor and Mower Shop in Clay City for 18 years, moving back to Worthington in 1974. Before that he operated a Huckster Wagon around the Worthington and Clay City areas. After moving back to Worthington he mowed yards.
Survivors include his wife, Lois K. (Ball) Harris of Worthington; a son, Max (Jackie) Harris of Worthington; a daughter, Judy K. (Terry) Griffith of Worthington; a brother, Bob Harris of Leesburg, Fla.; two sisters, Olive Gilman of Sun City, Fla., and Doris Jamison of Spencer; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jerry Warren Harris; twin grandsons; two brothers, Wilbur and Rex Harris; and a sister, Dorothy Harris.
Services will be 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Welch and Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington with the Rev. Randy Harris, who is his grandson, officiating.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. on Friday, and 9 a.m. until the time of service Saturday. Burial will be in Worthington Cemetery.
