Philip R. Wall, 83, of Linton, died at 6:30 a.m. Jan. 28, 2004, in Greene County General Hospital.
Born in Vincennes, Ind., Feb. 28, 1920, he was the son of George Lee Wall and Phyllis A. McCormick Wall. He was a veteran of World War II, the Korean War and Vietnam. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force and National Weather Service. He was Past Master of St. John Lodge 618 in Meridian, Miss., a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason - Valley of Meridian, Miss.; VFW of Meridian, Miss., Post 79 and American Legion Post 22.
Survivors include his wife, Audrey Maxine (Bunch) Wall of Linton; two sons, Richard Lee Wall of LaCrosse, Wisc., and Robert C. Wall of St. Joseph, Mo.; two step-sons, David W. Bailey II and Ralph Bailey Jr., both of Linton; a sister, Carol Jeanne Williams of Scottsdale, Ariz.; three grandchildren; four step-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and his first wife, Helen Marie Hagerty Wall, who died in 1986.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton with Rev. Carl Beadle and Rev. Ron Helderman officiating. There will be a Masonic Memorial Service at 7 p.m. Thursday, and military graveside services. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
