Linda D. Mayfield, 52, of Linton, died at 1:18 a.m. Friday, Dec. 19, in Greene County General Hospital.
Born April 10, 1951, in Linton, she was the daughter of Jimmie D. and Violet M. Perigo Elliott.
She formerly worked as a clerk for Ellis and Company, and for Peoples Trust Company. She was a member of the Linton First Christian Church and taught Sunday School there for 40 years.
Survivors include her father, of Lyons; a son, James Brian and wife D'Lee Mayfield of Linton; a daughter, Leslie Dawn and husband Jon Cliver of Dugger; two sisters, Lisa Morris of Linton and Lana Elliott of Long Mont, Colo., a step-sister, Dee Alford of Edwardsport; grandchildren Laney and Jacob Cliver and Chloie Mayfield.
She was preceded in death by her mother and brother, Mike Elliott, and niece, Jennifer.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. on Tuesday at Prairie Chapel Cemetery in Newberry with Warren Shake officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Chapel Cemetery,
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton.
