BLOOMFIELD ---- Wilma M. Porter, 79, of Bloomfield, died at 12:40 p.m., Monday, Dec. 22, at her residence.
Born Nov. 19, 1924, in Koleen, she was the daughter of Leland D. and Hazel C. Johnson Padgett.
She worked at White's Grocery in Bloomfield and was a homemaker. She attended Furnace Christian Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth Ann White of Switz City; two brothers, John W. Padgett of Poland, Ind., and James W. Padgett of Springville; a sister, Edna Pearl Hobbs of Indianapolis; three granddaughters, Jennifer Ann Crites of Worthington, Amanda Sue White and Kathleen Elizabeth White, both of Switz City; and one great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William M. Porter on Feb. 1, 2000; her parents; and two brothers, Ralph Padgett and Leland Padgett Jr.
Services will be 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Jenkins and Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield with the Revs. Keith Long and Jack Tolbert officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call 4-8 p.m. today, and from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service Wednesday at Jenkins and Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
