WORTHINGTON ---- Thelma Reece, 89, of Worthington, died at 12:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 26, at Magnolia, Texas, at the home of her daughter.
Born March 3, 1914, in Greene County, she was the daughter of Job and Martha (Griffin) Dailey.
She was a homemaker, formerly worked at RCA in Bloomington for 15 years, and at a laundromat in Worthington. She was a member of the Worthington First Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Edna "Sissie" Soughers of Magnolia, Texas; six grandchildren, Randy Sullivan and Linzy Sullivan, both of Worthington, Dawn Michelle Sullivan-Wright of Indianapolis, Joe Smith of Canyon Lake, Texas, Mark Smith of Magnolia, Texas, and Teresa Casey Martin of Indianapolis; three step-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George Reece who died July 15, 2000; one daughter, Beverly Sullivan, two infant sons and two brothers, Leon and Claude Dailey.
Service will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Welch and Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington with Rev. Don Lincicome officiating. Burial will be in Worthington Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today, and from 9 a.m. on Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
