WORTHINGTON ---- Vernon Dale Snyder, 65, of Worthington died at 4:45 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 28 at his residence.
Born Sept. 21, 1938, he was the son of Harold and Woletta (Thurston) Snyder.
He was a former truck driver with Perkins Furniture in Indianapolis, retiring in August of 2002 after 22 years of service. He was a member of the Indiana National Guard and the General Assembly and Church of the First Born in Gosport.
Survivors include his wife, Waunita (Peters) Snyder, whom he married on May 25, 1927; 14 children, Rex Snyder, Morgantown; Kenny Snyder, Martinsville; Kathy Adkins, Martinsville; Debbie Clark, Franklin; Sharri White, West Baden; Janet White, Spencer; Vernon Snyder, Huntingburg; Mary Lee, Boynton Beach, Fla.; Linda Jones, French Lick; Daniel Snyder, Staunton; Lynette Langley, Worthington; Elaine Langley, Bowling Green; Darren Snyder, Bloomington; and Stephen Snyder, Worthington; two sisters, Alice Cossell, Willis, Texas; and Sharon Cordoul, Shidler, Okla.; 39 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Carroll Snyder and Emerson Snyder.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Welch and Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington with Bro. Paul Williams officiating. Burial will be in Worthington Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday and 9 a.m. until the hour of service on Thursday.
