Thomas "Bud" Murley, 64, of Linton, passed away at 10:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 3, 2003 at his residence.
Born July 29, 1939 in Jackson County, he was the son of Thomas Wm. and Ila (Dillon) Murley.
He was a contractor/construction worker and owned Murley Brothers Construction. He was a member of Community Bethel Baptist Church in Dugger.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce L. (Parsons) Murley of Linton; his mother, Ila (Dillon) Murley of Celina, Tenn.; a foster son, James Reed, at home; four brothers, Rick Murley of Solsberry, Wayne Murley of Linton, Steve Murley and Eddie Gale Murley, both of Tennessee; three sisters, Geraldine Rhoten, Jean Hawkins, and Shirley Wilson, all of Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Wm. Murley; one sister, Evelyn Murley; and one brother, Bob Murley.
The funeral will be at Anderson-Poindexter Linton Memory Chapel at 11 a.m. on Friday with the Rev. Cletus Bough officiating. Burial will follow at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, and 9 a.m. until the hour of service Friday.
