BLOOMFIELD ---- Gladys Naomi Carmichael, 85, of Bloomfield, passed away at 5 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2003 at Greene County General Hospital in Linton.
Born Sept. 11, 1918 in Greene County, she was the daughter of Bryan and Nellie (Sullivan) Crowe.
She was a homemaker, and a member of Sylvania Wesleyan Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Joann Norris of Bloomfield; one son, Robert Lee Carmichael of Russiaville; one sister, Leona Frye of Bloomfield; two brothers, Leslie Crowe and Glen Crowe, both of Bloomfield; four grandchildren, Rhonda Royal and Teresa Schantz, both of Bloomfield, Jeff Combs of Solsberry and Eric Carmichael of Russiaville; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Carmichael in 1981; one infant daughter, Edna Lorene Carmichael; three brothers, Lexie, Dale, and Ranard Crowe; and her parents.
Funeral service was at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield at 11 a.m. today with the Rev. Arlen Pope officiating. Burial followed at Carmichael Cemetery.
Friends called at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday, and 10 a.m. today until the hour of service.
