WASHINGTON ---- Mary E. Scott, 82, of Washington, passed away at 9:55 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2003 at Daviess Community Hospital.
Born Jan. 10, 1921, in Greene County, she was the daughter of Emerson D. and Lucille (Lester) Blackmore.
She was a homemaker and farmer. She was a member of Phi Mu Sorority, Tri Kappa, Monday Club in Washington, Eastern Star in Newberry, Newberry Progressive Club and the Daughters of American Revolution.
Survivors include two sons, Terry Scott of Jasper and Robert Scott of Indianapolis; four grandchildren, Charles Scott of Indianapolis, Phelicia Ricks of Centerville, Jeff Scott of Indianapolis and Aaron Scott of Jasper.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Scott, on June 4, 1974; one daughter, Sherry Scott on Feb. 1950; one son, James A. Scott on Jan. 6, 1986; and her parents.
Funeral service will be at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Washington at 2 p.m. on Sunday with Pastor John Pavelka officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Chapel Cemetery in Lyons.
Friends may call at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, and Sunday from 1 p.m. until the hour of service at the church. An Eastern Star service will be conducted Saturday evening.
