INDIANAPOLIS ---- Roy William Hash, 87, of Indianapolis, passed away at 2:15 p.m. Oct. 1, 2003 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born March 23, 1916 in Greene County, he was the son of David William and Dora Alice (Workman) Hash.
He worked 37 years for Union Carbide in Indianapolis, retiring in 1978. He was a member of the Drexel Gardens Christian Church in Indianapolis; Lynhurst Masonic Lodge; Scottish Rite; and American Legion Post 196 of Bloomfield. He was a veteran of World War II in the Army.
Survivors include his wife, Maxine Bland Hash of Indianapolis; one son, Dennis Hash of Indianapolis; one daughter, Doretta Henry of Indianapolis; two grandchildren, Tim and Cassie Henry of Indianapolis; and two sisters, Fern Bland of Bloomfield and Mildred Burch of Jamestown.
He was preceded in death by son, William K. Hash; sister, Hulda Ramsey; two brothers, Troy and Wayne Hash; and his parents.
Funeral service will be at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield at 11 a.m. on Saturday with the Rev. Terry Bailey officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday.
