DANVILLE ---- Marcel J. Coulomb, Jr., 64, of Danville, Ind., passed away Sunday, Oct. 12, 2003 at Hendricks Regional Health at Danville.
Born Sept. 3, 1939 in Linton, he was the son of Marcel J. and Lillian "Patsy" (Gaither) Coulomb Sr.
He was a government employee serving as director of Public Works in Edinburgh; he was town manager of Middlebury and Danville town manager from 1978 to 1986; and executive director of the township trustees. He was a member of Phi Delta Kappa, Murat Shrine, Scottish Rite, Linton Masonic Lodge 560, Linton Elks Lodge 866, Linton Moose Lodge 14, past president of Linton Jaycees and the Greene County Heart Association. He received his master's degree in 1975 from Indiana State University where he also received his bachelor's degree in 1973. He graduated from Linton-Stockton High School in 1957. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include a son, Marcel J. Coulomb III of Albuquerque, N.M.; two daughters, Denise C. Young of Avon and Michelle A. Aloia of Clinton, Mich.; two grandchildren; and friend, Rosie Zellers.
Funeral service will be at Baker Funeral Home in Danville at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
Friends may call at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton from 11 a.m. -2 p.m. on Thursday with graveside service at 2:30 p.m. with Masonic Lodge service by Linton Masonic Lodge 560 at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
