COAL CITY ---- Bobby D. Foley, 72, of Coal City, passed away at 11:52 a.m. Monday, Oct. 20, 2003 at his residence.
Born Nov. 13, 1930 in Owen County, he was the son of Delbert Roy and Stella (Marshall) Foley.
He retired from Andrews Air Force base in Maryland after 40 years of services. He served four years in the Navy during the Korean War, was a member of Coal City Community Church, and Worthington VFW.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Sue (Branaham) Foley of Coal City; eight stepchildren, Rebecca Kassoumis of Brazil, Theresa Haney of Indianapolis, Donna Burrus of Metamora, Penny Thompson of Spencer, Prisilla Thompson of Indianapolis, Lori Roberts of Indianapolis, Ronald Thompson of Brazil, and Robert Thompson of Indianapolis; foster daughter, Virginia Spore of St. Francisville, Ill.; 27 step grandchildren; seven step great grandchildren; sisters, Louise Buskirk and Pauline Laswell both of Worthington; and Thelma Vandeventer of Bloomfield.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lois Marilyn (Perry) Foley; one sister, Margie Dayhoff; and his parents.
Funeral service will be at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington at 11 a.m. on Friday. Burial will follow at Fiscus Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, and 9 a.m. on Friday until the time of service.
