INDIANAPOLIS ----Ralph R. Ellington, Sr., 70 of Indianapolis passed away Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2003 at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis.
Born May 17, 1933 in Indianapolis to Ralph E. and Linnie Pearl Gibson Ellington.
He was employed for several years by Service Drywall Co. in Indianapolis as a draftsman/estimator. He was a member of Mars Hill Church of God. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and was a member of the American Legion.
Ellington is survived by his wife, Norma Jean (Rice); four sons, Ralph R. Ellington Jr. of Linton, Michael A. Ellington, Randall K. Ellington and Timothy B. Ellington, all of Indianapolis; his mother of Indianapolis; two brothers, Robert D. Ellington of Mooresville and Michael L. Ellington of Indianapolis; 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Rev. Mike Conley will conduct the funeral service on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service, Singleton and Herr Southport Chapel in Indianapolis. Friends may call at the funeral home tonight from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Burial will be at New Crown Cemetery.
