Nina C. "Dutch" Hostetler-Hixson, 94, of Linton, passed away at 5:40 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 30, 2003 at Glenburn Home in Linton.
Born July 6, 1909 in Sullivan, she was the daughter of Daniel and Lydia Margaret (Ringo) Brewer.
She owned and operated Hostetler's Market for 21 years and worked at Owen Miles Photography Co. for five years, retiring in 1973. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Linton where she attended the ByKota Class and was a member of MuBeta Gamma Mission Circle; and she was a former member of the Business Professional Women and the Eastern Star of Linton.
Survivors include, nephew, Bill (Malvina) Brewer of Jasonville; nieces, Virginia Brewer of Jasonville, Ina Joyce (Glen) Stevens of Irving, Texas, Evelyn and Mary Elaine Hixson of Linton, and Elinor R. Marshall of Brownsburg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Glen Hostetler on May 9, 1964; a nephew, Davey Brewer; niece, Audrey Green; three brothers, Lester and Dexter Brewer and Cary Ringo; step-brother, Willard Pope; three sisters, Nona Darling, Maxine Brewer, and twin sister, Ina Martindale; and her parents.
Funeral service will be at Welch & Cornett Linton Chapel at 2 p.m. on Monday with the Rev. David Tyra officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
Friend may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday, and at noon until the time of service Monday.
