Helen M. (Horacek) Daymude, 86, of Linton, passed away at 10:30 p.m., Friday, Aug. 29, 2003 at Linton Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Born March 26, 1917 in Chicago, Ill., she was the daughter of Frank and Catherine Horacek.
She was a homemaker, and a bartender at the Linton Moose for over 20 years. She was a welder on ships during World War II. She was of the Catholic faith and a member of the Linton Moose, VFW Auxiliary and American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include, two sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Becky Daymude of Linton and Ronnie and Mary Ann Daymude of Wabash; one daughter and son-in-law, Jo Anne and John Edwards of Terre Haute; brother, Lad Horacek of Chicago; 10 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Daymude on Dec. 3, 1969; and two brothers, Frank and Henry Horacek.
Funeral service was at Welch & Cornett Linton Chapel at 2:30 p.m. today with Mike Chapman officiating. Burial followed at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
Friends called at 10 a.m. today until the hour of the service.
