Cleo B. Ellis, 96, of Linton, passed away at 5:15 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 6, 2003 at Crestview Nursing Center.
Born Feb. 19, 1907 in Sullivan County, she was the daughter of Fred and Golda (Pesch) Lambright.
She was a school teacher and graduated from Indiana State Teachers College and taught at Pleasantville and Marco schools. She was a member of United Brothern Church, and Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include, one son, James Ellis of Odon; six grandchildren, Deanna Frye, Troy Ellis, Todd Ellis, Kent Parisien, Dorinda Smith, and Dania Dominicci; 15 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy W. Ellis on March 11, 1992; and five brothers and sisters, Cloe Shelton, Pete Lambright, Alberta Myers, Wanda Cowan, and Lyman Lambright.
Funeral service will be at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton at 10 a.m. on Wednesday with the Rev. John Monroe officiating. Burial will follow at Burris Chapel in Linton.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday.
