MOORESVILLE ---- Ruth Eleanor Wadsworth Harris, 86, of Mooresville, passed away at Thursday, Sept. 11, 2003 at St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove.
Born July 6, 1917, in Dugger, she was the daughter of Walter and Cora Almeda Wadsworth.
She was a library aide at Northwood Elementary School for several years, and was also a homemaker. She was a graduate of Odon High School and a former member of the Central Avenue United Methodist Church in Indianapolis. She was a member of the Mooresville First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include four sons, Steven L. Harris and Kevin C. Harris, both of Martinsville, Phillip D. Harris and Richard A. Harris, both of Indianapolis; two daughters, Janice E. Bauer of Indianapolis and Jeanie McAuley of Greenfield; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Clifford Harris on Nov. 25, 2000; one son, Ronnie J. Harris; two brothers, Bill and Foster Wadsworth; and two sisters, Margaret Brummett and Alice Byrer.
Funeral service was at Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel in Mooresville at 10 a.m. today. Burial followed at White Lick Cemetery in Mooresville.
Friends called at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday.
