BLOOMFIELD ---- E. Dale "Gabby" Workman, 91, of Bloomfield, passed away at 9:20 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 25, 2003 at Glenburn Home in Linton.
Born Dec. 21, 1911 in Lyons, he was the son of Edward E. and Lottie (Huffman) Workman.
He was bridge supervisor for J.L. Wilson Construction. He was a member of Bloomfield First Presbyterian Church where he served as elder and trustee; a member of the Bloomfield American Legion Post 196; Worthington VFW 7117; Carpenters Union; and Bloomfield Masonic Lodge #84.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth (Wisley) Workman of Bloomfield; two daughters, and sons-in-law, Myrna W. and Terry Hall of Jasper and Ann Workman and Stan Armstrong of Springville; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sallie (Rader) Workman; one brother, John Eulis Workman; one sister, Mary Louise Workman; and his parents.
Funeral service will be at Bloomfield First Presbyterian Church at 2 p.m. on Saturday with the Rev. Peggy Casteel and the Rev. Billy Ed Hostettler officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Cemetery with American Legion Post 196 Bloomfield to perform graveside services.
Friends may call at the First Presbyterian Church at 401 Shyla Lane in Bloomfield from 2-8 p.m. today and one hour prior to services Saturday.
