KIMBERLING CITY, Mo. ---- Blanche M. Dix, 92, of Kimberling City, Mo., and formerly of Sullivan, passed away at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2003 at her residence.
Born Feb. 21, 1911 in Vermillion County, she was the daughter of Otis Alton and Icy M. (Weaver) Simms.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Kimberling City United Methodist Church; Chapter of P.E.O.; and the Iowa State Chapter P.E.O. Sisterhood.
Survivors include three sisters, Ruth Long and Elizabeth Simms of Fairfield Bay, Ark., and Ellen Hall of Carbondale, Ill.; and 14 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth W. Dix in 1976; one son, Robert Kenneth Dix; and three brothers, Jared L., William C. and Joseph L. Simms.
Graveside service will be at Center Ridge Cemetery in Sullivan at 11 a.m. on Thursday.
Alexander-Kean Funeral Home in Sullivan is in charge of local services.
