Marie Hardesty, 85, of Sullivan and formerly of Carlisle passed away at 9:46 a.m. Thursday, July 24, 2003 at Sullivan County Community Hospital.
She was born May 28, 1918 in Switz City, the daughter of Clifford Morrison and Mary Abrarns Morrison.
She was a homemaker and a member of the First Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include one son, Charles W. "Bill" Boone of Sullivan; two daughters, Patty Miller of Seymour and Shirley DiAgostino of New York; three step-sons, Robert "Bob" Hardesty of Carlisle, Morrison L. Hardesty of Chesterton and Ray Hardesty of Linton; one step-daughter, Susan Horton of Oaktown; one brother, Jimmy Morrison of Worthington; special friend Karen Alexander of New York; two grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several step-great-grandchildren and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vertis Hardesty; her parents; one step-son, Richard Hardesty; and three brothers, Clyde Morrison, Titus Morrison, and Clifford Morrison, Jr.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the First Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Rod Hardesty officiating. Burial is at Carlisle Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday at Holmes Memorial Chapel in Sullivan, and after 9 a.m. until the time of service Monday at the church.
