JASONVILLE ---- Forest Glenn Allee, 82, of Jasonville, passed away Friday afternoon, July 25, 2003 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born March 1, 1921 in Greene County, he was the son of Tillman and Agnes (Hoss) Allee.
He worked as a postmaster for the U.S. Postal Service in Switz City, retiring in 1986. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II, and was a member of Blessed Hope Baptist Church of Jasonville.
Survivors include, his wife, Beulah E. (Gabbard) Allee of Jasonville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gerald Ray and Susan Allee of Fairport Harbor, Ohio and Dennis Gene and Janice Allee of Mooresville; one daughter, Rita Kay Bain of Indianapolis; one brother, Hugh Allee of Conneaut, Ohio; seven grandchildren, David R. Allee of Phoenix, Az., Kevin Allee of Loveland, Ohio, Kelly D. Greene of Columbus, Ohio, Stephanie Badgely and Jennifer LaMar of Indianapolis, Kristi Brown of Louisville, Ky., and Shelly Allee of Mooresville; and nine great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and four sisters, Martha Belle Atkerson, Francis Blevens, Lucille Russell, and Leona Singleton.
Funeral service will be at Blessed Hope Baptist Church in Jasonville at 10 a.m. on Tuesday with Pastors Bob and Jerry Ross officiating. Burial will follow at Walker Cemetery northeast of Linton with military graveside rites conducted by American Legion Post 22 of Linton.
Friends may call at Welch & Cornett Linton Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today, and after 9 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the church.
