BROWNSTOWN ---- Charles E. "Bud" Padgett, 51, of Brownstown, passed away at 7:15 a.m., Friday, July 25, 2003 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born Dec. 23, 1951 in Linton, he was the son of Charles Raymond and Dorothy (Shonk) Padgett.
He was a truck driver for Wal-Mart working out of the Greencastle Distribution Center. He lived in Worthington most of his life until moving to Brownstown in 1997. He attended the Brownstown Baptist Church. He was a member of Masonic Lodge in Jonesville and American Legion in Seymour. He was a veteran of U.S. Army.
Survivors included his fiancee, Vicki (Kendall) Pogue of Brownstown; two sons, Charles F. Padgett of Jasonville and William Cole Padgett of Linton; two step sons, Heath Fulk of Linton and Clint Fulk of Jasonville; two step grandchildren; brother, Larry Padgett of Linton; and two sisters, Diana Driscol of Worthington and Linda Hubbell of Linton.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington at 1 p.m. on Tuesday with Pastor David Starr officiating. Burial will follow at Calvertville Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-9 p.m. today, and 9 a.m. Tuesday until the time of service.
