GREENE COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT

JAIL LOG

* Sep. 10 -- Wesley A. Sapp, 30, Jasonville, was arrested for battery with injury and criminal confinement. He was released on $14,000 bond and scheduled to appear in court on Sep. 17. Greene County Sheriff's Department Detective George Dallaire was the arresting officer.

* Sep. 14 -- Daniel L. Westfall, 25, Loogootee, was arrested on a warrant from Daviess County. Bloomfield Police Department Town Marshal Ken Tharp was the arresting officer.

* Sep. 15 -- Justin E. Stanley, 23, Worthington, was arrested for domestic battery. He was released on $1000 bond and scheduled to appear in court on Sep. 21. Indiana State Police Trooper Eric Nash was the arresting officer.

* Sep. 15 -- James A. Alchin, 27, Bloomington, was arrested on three counts of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and is being held on $4000 bond. Greene County Sheriff's Department Deputy Jeremy Inman was the arresting officer.

* Sep. 15 -- Beth A. Norris, 42, Bloomfield, was arrested on a warrant, released and scheduled to appear in court on Sep. 17 and Sep. 21. Greene County Sheriff's Department Jeremy Cook was the arresting officer.

* Sep. 16 -- Daniel Paul Felker, 24, Jasonville, was arrested on three counts of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, released on $8000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sep. 21. Greene County Sheriff's Department Deputy Dured Townsend was the arresting officer.

* Sep. 16 -- Benny Lackey, 32, Bloomfield, was arrested for domestic battery and is being held on $1000 bond. Greene County Sheriff's Department Deputy Skyler Pittman was the arresting officer.

* Sep. 17 -- Deric Dean George, 29, Owensburg, was arrested for domestic battery and is being held on $1000 bond. Greene County Sheriff's Department Deputy Jeremy Cook was the arresting officer.

The Linton Police Department responded Friday through Sunday to one forgery and counterfeiting, six follow-up investigations, five information only, three fights, three juvenile/delinquents, one vandalism, two brush fires, three transport/documentation, one loitering, four accidents with property damage, five medical/illness, two alarms, seven animal complaints, one prowler, five suspicious vehicles/persons, two harassment complaints, one possible intoxicated driver, three reckless drivers, two thefts/other, one lost/stolen license plate, two welfare checks/concerns, one domestic dispute, one recovered vehicle/property, three ordinance violations, two batteries, provided four school/foot patrols, three extra patrols, four assists to other agencies, two assists to the utility department, and made ten traffic stops.

* Sep. 14 -- S. M. Bowers, A St. NE, reported the theft of a license plate from a vehicle sometime in July. Linton Police Department Reserve Officer Harry Hovey was the investigating officer.

* Sep. 14 -- Angell's, 1600 A St. NE, reported receiving a counterfeit $100 bill which was rejected from Regions Bank. The serial number was G11642118A. Linton Police Department Officer Debbie McDonald is the investigating officer.

* Sep. 15 -- Robert McClure, 5th St. NW, reported the theft of newly-purchased license plate #28B3323 from under the passenger seat of his vehicle. Linton Police Department Officer Debbie McDonald is the investigating officer.

* Sep. 16 -- A child was reported to have been bitten by a dog in a yard at SR54 and C St. NW and was treated at the Greene County General Hospital. The dog owned by Kathy L. Vaughn has been quarantined at home. Linton Police Department Officer Paul Clark was the investigating officer.
