She was born in Greene County on Oct. 27, 1915, the daughter of Marion E. and Nellie (Hardesty) Griffith.
She had worked at Bank One and the Marion County Health Department, both in Indianapolis. She was an early member of the Lyons Free Methodist Church, was a member of the Greene County General Ladies Auxilary and the Linton Ladies Civitan Club. She was fond of playing the organ, piano, & accordion. She spent her life in Indiana until moving to Torrington, Wyoming in January, 2007.
She is survived by two sons, William E. "Bill" Wilson and wife, Karen, of Torrington, WY and James L. "Jim" Wilson and wife, Flora, of Crawfordsville; a daughter, Ann Frye of Bloomington; one brother, E. Lamar Griffith, 10 grandchildren, Dr. William Eric Wilson, Jon E. Wilson, Joan Wilson, Brooke Driscol, Janet Parker, Jackie McBride, Laurie Pierce, Mary Jo Brown, Jeff Frye and Lonnie Wilson, and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Wilson on May 7, 1994, two brothers, Forest and Elmer Griffith, a sister, Louise Beatty, and her parents.
Funeral services will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton, at 10 a.m. Wednesday with Gary King officiating. Burial will follow at the Lebanon Cemetery in Midland.
Visitation will be held at the Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton on Tuesday from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., and on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
