She was born on Nov. 30, 1939, in Rome, GA, to Irene (McDonald) and Arlow Bobbitt. She graduated from Holks Bluff High School in 1958. Kathleen was a postal carrier and clerk for 23 years at the Worthington Post Office. She was a member of the White River Baptist Church in rural Bloomfield.
Survivors include: her husband, Paul Boyd, Worthington; one son, Barry Boyd, Worthington; one daughter, Connie (Kevin) Griffin, Worthington; two grand children, Aliza Kelly and Kristopher Boyd, four brothers: Charles, Jerry, Glenn, and Ricky Bobbitt all from Ballplay, Alabama, two sisters: Barbara Coulter, from Owen Crossroads, Alabama, and Carolyn Bobbitt, from Ballplay, Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and sibling infant twins.
Funeral service will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington, 11a.m. Thursday with Pastor Mike Hinnie officiating. Burial will be in Worthington Cemetery.
Friends may call at Welch & Cornett 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, and after 9 a.m. Thursday.
