She was born April 6, 1930, in Nortinville, KY, the daughter of Ode & Ophellia (Lacy) Marsh.
She was a cook at a daycare center at Hoffman Street Baptist Church in Hammond. She was a member of Grace Gospel Church and Forever Learning Homemakers Club, both in Linton.
Survivors include: four daughters, Vickie L. Padgett, and her husband, James, of Hymera, Tammy Ann Russell and her husband, Kirk Jason, of Linton, Diane Moody and her husband, Garry, of Madisonville, KY, and Kimberly Jo Jennings and her husband, Paul, of Columbus, Mississippi; a son, David Wayne LaPradd, a sister, Margaret McBride & her husband, Dennis, of Linton; eight grandchildren, Rachel (Robbie) Boldrey, Rebecca (Josh) Templeton, Elizabeth Moody, Michelle and Bryan, Cynthia and Matthew Jennings and Kassandra Ann Russell; five great-grandchildren, Christopher, Hunter, Crystal, Bryan and Katlyn,
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard LaPradd, Oct. 22, 1987; a son, Michael Ray Martin; an infant daughter, Donna Renee Martin; two sisters, Barbara Pyle and Martha Pinsky; and her parents.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Grace Gospel Church in Linton with Pastor Jim Gray officiating.
Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Tuesday. at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home Linton Chapel and after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
A committal service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at Chapel Lawn Cemetery in Schererville, IN.
