She was born to William H. and Velva Glenadeen (Meadows) Hedrick in Bloomington on Feb. 13, 1939.
She graduated from Bloomington High School in 1957 and attended the Indianapolis School of Business. She married Rev. Robert D. Utterback on November 26, 1958.
She attended the Apostolic Bible Church (Henderson St. Church). She and her husband moved to Linton in 1977 where the couple pioneered and founded the Bibleway Church.
Survivors include: four children, Robin S. Vanderventer of Linton, Keithette J. Mauder of Spencer, William "Bill" Utterback of Bloomfield, and Robert L. Utterback of Clarksville, AK. She is also survived by a cousin, Earlana Terrel Pope; two son-in-laws, Ronald Vandeventer, David Mauder; one daughter-in-law, Christy Utterback and William's companion, Susan Byrd; 14 grandchildren, Keith, Matthew, Michael, Kaitlyn, Heather, Eric, Billie Jo, James, Aaron, Andrew, Rebekah, Seth and Gabriel; one granddaughter-in-law, Karisa and two great-grandchildren, Gavin and Elise Vandeventer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob and her mother, Glanadeen.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Day Funeral Home in Bloomington. The celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 p.m.Thursday at the Apostolic Bible Church, Old Walnut Street Road in Bloomington. Prior to the service, there will be a visitation from 11 a.m. â€" 1 p.m. at the church. Officiating the service will be the Rev. Donald Bault. Interment will be in Knightridge Cemetery in Bloomington.
Day Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The family requests, in lieu of flowers, that donations be sent to the Robert Utterback Home Mission Memorial Fund, which provides annual grants to mission workers and individuals needing assistance to further the gospel.
