Charles Edward Holtsclaw, 64, of Switz City passed away at 8 p.m. Tuesday October 30, 2007. from injuries sustained in a tractor accident.
Born Dec. 7, 1942 in Greene County, he was the son of Charles Wesley & Nola (Anderson) Holtsclaw.
He was a farmer and the Fairplay Township Trustee. He also was substitute teacher at White River Valley School. A 1960 graduate of Switz City High School, he a member of the Antioch Christian Church in Bloomfield.
Surviving relatives include: his wife, Sharon Allyne Holtsclaw of Switz City; three sons:,Charles Rex Holtsclaw and wife Shirley of Seymour, Boyd Edward Holtsclaw of Worthington, Byron Holtsclaw and wife Lora of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Jarett Holtsclaw of Worthington, Jaryn Holtsclaw of Seymour, Seth Holtsclaw and Liberty Holtsclaw, both of Fort Wayne; two step-grandchildren: Jordan and Jessica McGuire both of Seymour; one brother, Lester Holtsclaw of Bloomfield; and his mother Nola (Anderson) Holtsclaw of Bloomfield.
He was preceded in death by his father Charles Wesley Holtsclaw and one brother Harold Eugene Holtsclaw.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield and after 11:00 a.m. at Antioch Christian Church near Bloomfield.
Services will be at 1 p.m.Friday at the church with Rev. Arlen Pope officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Chapel Cemetery near Lyons.
Memorial donations may be made to the Antioch Christian Church Buliding Fund in care of Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
