• Nov. 1 -- Joshua A. Dillery, 23, Bloomfield, was arrested on a warrant, released on $5000 bond and scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 8. Bloomfield Police Department Officer Harvey Holt was the arresting officer.

• Nov. 2 -- Juan Garcia, 21, Linton, was arrested on a military warrant and held without bond. Linton Police Department Cpl. Chad Crynes was the arresting officer.

• Nov. 2 -- Ashley J. Hancock, 22, Linton, was arrested on a preliminary charge of public intoxication with bond set at $500. Linton Police Department Patrolman Jayson Smith was the arresting officer.



The Linton Police Department's activity log for Thursday included one information only request, one fight, two school/foot patrols, one structure fire, four suspicious vehicles/persons, one assist to another agency, one reckless driver, one attempted burglary, one welfare check/concern, one 911 prank/false call and three traffic stops.

• Oct. 26 -- Police investigated an incident of check deception which occurred around 11:30 p.m. on Oct. 26 at the Linton Wal-Mart store.

• Oct. 26 -- A Linton resident on Dogwood Lane reported an incident of criminal mischief after his mailbox had been hit and knocked over, breaking a wooden 4x4. LPD Officer Debbie McDonald was the investigating officer.

• Nov. 1 -- An attempted burglary was investigated near 5th and F Streets N.W., after a resident came home to find his front door was open and the lights were on. Nothing was missing but things were out of order. LPD Cpl. Chad Crynes was the investigating officer.

• Nov. 2 -- After receipt of a warrant from the U.S. Army requesting the apprehension of Juan Garcia, 21, Linton, LPD officers arrested Garcia without incident in the parking lot of a local bank and transported him to Greene County Jail. LPD Cpl. Chad Crynes was the arresting officer.

• Nov. 2 -- The Fastpoint Store on SR 54 East reported a white Mercury drove off around 1:20 a.m. without paying for $20 worth of gas. LPD Patrolman Jayson Smith is the investigating officer.
