Marvin Wayne Wilson, 85, of Springville passed away at 9:30 a.m. on Friday Nov. 9, 2007 in Solsberry.
Born April 20, 1922 in Greene County, he was the son of Roy and Lona (Busenberg) Wilson.
He was an aviation mechanic in the U.S. Navy during World War II working on Corsair airplanes. He was a 50 year retiree from the Local Carpenters Union Local No. 1664. He was a member of the Antioch Christian Church in Bloomfield, the American Legion Post No. 450 in Solsberry, and the Local Carpenters Union No. 1664.
Surviving relatives include: one daughter, Lynn Corwin and husband, Ron of Solsberry; son, Lanny Wilson and wife, Sandra of Owensburg; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie L. (Hartman) Wilson on October 5, 2003; his his parents and 3 brothers.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday and 9:30 a.m. until the the hour of service Monday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Arlen Pope officiating. Burial will follow at Dishman Cemetery in Springville.
The family wishes that any donations be made to the Antioch Christian Church in Bloomfield in care of Jenkins Funeral Home.
