GREENE COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT

* Nov. 10 -- An accident resulting in property damage but no human injuries resulted when a deer ran into the path of Michael Schnarr, 56, Jasper, traveling east on SR 45/58, east of CR 215 E., east of Scotland in Taylor Township, in a Chevrolet Silverado truck. The deer came from the north side of the roadway. Seat belts were in use in the truck. Greene County Sheriff's Department Lt. Bryan K. Woodall was the investigating officer.

JAIL LOG

* Nov. 9 -- Danny J. Salyer, Jr., 39, Bloomfield, was arrested on a preliminary charge of contempt of court / body attachment and released on bond. Greene County Sheriff's Department Deputy John Fowler was the arresting officer.

* Nov. 9 -- Gary D. Denny, 36, Bloomington, was arrested on preliminary charges of failure to appear, public intoxication and a petition to revoke. Greene County Sheriff's Department Deputy John Fowler was the arresting officer.

* Nov. 9 -- Donna R. Snyder, 29, Terre Haute, was arrested on a preliminary charge of check deception, released on bond and scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 11. Greene County Sheriff's Department Deputy Terry Wade was the arresting officer.

* Nov. 9 -- Samantha A. Walton, 19, Linton, was arrested on a preliminary charge of theft, released on bond and scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 16. Greene County Sheriff's Department Deputy Terry Wade was the arresting officer.

* Nov. 10 -- Michael L. Alton, 38, Bloomfield, was arrested on a body attachment, released on $500 bond and scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 19. Bloomfield Police Department Officer Harvey Holt was the arresting officer.

* Nov. 10 -- Matthew S. West, 18, Coalmont, was arrested on a warrant from Sullivan County and was released to Sullivan County. Worthington Police Department Reserve Officer Austin Combs was the arresting officer.

* Nov. 10 -- Robert D. Medcalf, 44, Terre Haute, was arrested on preliminary charges of three counts of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, released on $8,000 bond and scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 16. Jasonville Police Department Officer Danny Keller was the arresting officer.

* Nov. 11 -- John A. Roell, 45, Indianapolis, was arrested on a body attachment. Bond was set at $500. Greene County Sheriff's Department Reserve Deputy Gregory Flinn was the arresting officer.

* Nov. 11 -- William C. Groomer, 36, Springville, was arrested on preliminary charges of three counts of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, released on $4,000 bond and scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 16. Greene County Sheriff's Department Deputy Jeremy Inman was the arresting officer.

* Nov. 11 -- Michael A. Campbell, 35, Elnora, was arrested on a preliminary charge of public intoxication, released on $500 bond and scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 16. Bloomfield Police Department Officer Brad Deckard was the arresting officer.

* Nov. 11 -- Dale G. Sanders, 52, Linton, was arrested on preliminary charges of public intoxication and intimidation. Bond was set at $4,500. Linton Police Department Cpl. Paul Clark was the arresting officer.

* Nov. 11 -- Zachary D. McBride, 28, Lyons, was arrested on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, released on $4000 bond and scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 16. Greene County Sheriff's Department Deputy Aaron Smith was the arresting officer.

LINTON POLICE DEPARTMENT

ACTIVITY LOG

The Linton Police Department's activity log for Friday through Sunday included two trespassing, four information only, one shots fired, one death investigation, two public intoxications, one missing/runaway juvenile, two accidents with property damage, one lost and found, eight medical/illness, one animal complaint, two suspicious vehicles/persons, seven assists to other agencies, one burglary, one reckless driver, one extra patrol, three thefts-other, one disabled/stranded vehicle, one bicycle theft, one assist to the utility department, one domestic dispute, three ordinance violations, one battery and three traffic stops.

* Nov. 7 -- A Linton resident reported numerous items were taken from their unlocked vehicle while parked at the Sav-A-Lot store. Items included a purse, papers, $50 and a bottle of prescription Methadone. The surveilance tape did not show anyone near the vehicle other than the person who reported the incident. LPD Patrolman Karl Jacobshagen is the investigating officer.

* Nov. 9 -- Police are investigating the unauthorized use of a debit card, belonging to a Linton resident, by a person who had access to the card while living in the same house as the resident. Withdrawals of $200 have been made several times. LPD Officer Debbie McDonald is the investigating officer.

* Nov. 10 -- Police responded to a report of an incident of battery at 12:45 p.m. at a residence on RR 3, Linton, when a man said two people had battered him upon arriving home. The altercation may have stemmed from a previous incident. The resident and another man did have signs of injury. LPD Cpl. Chad Crynes is the investigating officer.
