Born June 9, 1929 in Jasonville, he was the son of John M. and Elizabeth (Klaiber) Sexton.
He retired from Pfizer after working 39 years in engineering maintenance as a welder. He attended the Lawton Street Christian Church Jasonville and was a member of the Elk's Lodge in Linton.
Survivors include: his wife Delores D. "Dode" Sexton of Jasonville' two sons, Steven Sexton of Jasonville and Gary (Tammy) Sexton of Francisco; a sister, Norma Williams of Winter Haven, FL; grandchildren, Drs. Christa and Bryan Cox of Linton; Brent and Wendy Sexton of Jasonville, Landon and Shannon Sexton of West Terre Haute, Jason Sexton of Oakland City, Donna Sexton of Roanoke, VA, Lindsey and John Fetter of Haubstadt, and Seth Coates of Francisco; and five great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Sarah and Brandon Cox, Alexis and Anna Sexton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Harry E. Sexton, Water Sexton, John Sexton; sisters Dorothy Moore, Maxine Fraizer and Juanita Morse.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at McClanahan-Lee Funeral Home in Jasonville. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery at Midland.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday and after 9 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
