* Nov. 22 -- Joel A. Gummere, 44, Speedway, was arrested on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Bond was set at $4,000. Indiana State Police Trooper Eric Russell was the arresting officer.

The Linton Police Department's activity log for Tuesday and Wednesday included one vehicle repossession, two title checks, one 911 transfer, two information only, one juvenile/delinquent, two vandalism, two custody dispute/exchange, one drug investigation, one school/foot patrol, one disorderly conduct, one brush fire, two missing/runaway juvenile, one accident with personal injury, two accidents with property damage, one lost and found, one suicide or attempt, four medical/illness, two animal complaints, two VIN checks, two suspicious vehicles/persons, three assists to other agencies, three harassment complaints, two reckless drivers, two thefts-other, one disabled/stranded vehicle, one welfare check/concern, one assist to the utility department, one animal/canine removed, one domestic dispute/neighbor, one open door/garage, one battery and 10 traffic stops.
* Nov. 22 -- Police are investigating a report of battery with a deadly weapon which allegedly occurred at the N-Zone Bar at approximately 1 a.m. when a man playing pool there was hit in the face several times and also hit in the head with a pool cue. LPD Patrolman Jayson Smith is the investigating officer.
