Charles L. Marquart, 79, Cloverdale, passed away Friday, Nov. 30, 2007 at his residence.
Born in Linton on June 8, 1928, he was the son of Albert and Elsie (Schwartz) Marquart.
A U.S. Army veteran, he had been a correctional officer at Putnamville Correctional Facility. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church, Cunot.
He married Wilma Jean Bennett on March 25, 1950. She survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Pamela Spiker, Center Point; sister June Marquart, Linton, and Doris Perigo, Wabash; brother Ervin Marquart and Wanda, Jacksonville, Fla.; two grandchildren, Lori Lockridge, and Charlie Spiker, both of Cloverdale; and two great-grandchildren, Torie Foster and Max Foster, both of Cloverdale.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale, with Pastor Wes McClure officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Linton. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
