Evelyn Jane Carpenter, 55, Route 5, Bloomfield, passed away at 9:15 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9 at Indiana University Hospital in Indianapolis after a six-year fight with cancer.
Born May 30, 1952 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Ralph Love and Martha Wagner.
She was a homemaker and attended Tulip Church of God.
Survivors include: her husband, Kenneth Carpenter, Jr., of rural Bloomfield; two daughters, April (Mark) Ranard, of Bloomfield and Amy Carpenter of Terre Haute; five grandchildren, Ayrel, Noah, Alyvia, Nathan and Mariah; three brothers, Ralph (Karen) Love of Martinsville, Brian (Wilma) Love of Martinsville, Cheyenne (Lacindra) Love of Gosport; three sisters, Rita (Mike) Martin of Camby, Teresa (Terry Cohen) of Martinsville, and April Love of Martinsville.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. John Dunn and Rev. Jim Dunn officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Chapel Cemetery near Lyons.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the funeral service on Thursday at the funeral home.
